
In another incident of mass shooting, a gunman opened fire late Monday night in a parking lot in Fort Worth, Texas, killing three people and injuring eight others, according to police.
Police noted that it had been a few hours since the annual Komofest had ended, but there were still many people in the area.
Police rushed to the spot after receiving the news of the mass shooting in Texas, where one person was found dead on the spot while two others succumbed to their injuries.
The shooting happened just before midnight at 3400 Horn Street in the Como area of southwest Fort Worth.
It is not clear whether the teenager is one of the victims who died.
The condition of the eight victims still in hospital was unknown.
Police are not sure how many shooters there were or what their motive was. No arrests have been made.
Police also noted that the other eight were also hospitalized and their condition was known.
Some of the victims of the firing were taken to the hospital through private vehicles and some through ambulances.
Police said ten of the victims are believed to be adults and one is a juvenile. CBS News,
There is no information on the number of armed suspects and the motivation behind the shooting is still not known, but police have launched an investigation.
Fort Worth Police Sgt. Jason Spencer told reporters that there was a “large crowd gathered” in the parking lot at the time of the shooting just before midnight.
