Australian Home Affairs Minister Claire O’Neill on Thursday took a jibe at former US President Donald Trump’s son Donald Trump Jr, calling him a “big kid” as he made his three-day visit to Australia on Wednesday, citing visa issues. The tour was cancelled.

Donald Trump Jr’s journey was to begin from Sydney on Sunday.

“It looks like the US is not the only country making things difficult for Trump,” said a group called Turning Point Australia, which describes itself as a non-profit organization in favor of free markets and limited government. Yes, in a Facebook post.

O’Neill said Trump was in fact granted a visa and that it appeared poor ticket sales were the reason he canceled his trip.

“Oh my god, Donald Trump Jr. is somewhat of a loser,” O’Neill said in a threatening tweet. Which was later removed.

“His father lost a fair election – but he says it was stolen. Now he is trying to blame the Australian government for his poor ticket sales and canceled tour.”

“Donald Trump Jr. has been granted a visa to come to Australia. He hasn’t been revoked. He’s just a big kid who’s not very popular.”

Opposition home affairs spokesman James Paterson later posted a screenshot of the tweets, which he labeled “childish” and “wrong”.

“Like it or not, Trump could be re-elected president in less than 18 months. If that happens, I hope the cabinet ministers in the national security departments for the AUKUS agreement are going to arm themselves with such childish tweets.” Will be able to stop.” He tweeted.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese also confirmed that Trump Jr. has not been barred from entering Australia.

“Donald Trump Jr.’s visa was processed in the normal way. He was just as entitled to be here as anybody else. It’s a matter for him to suspend his travel,” she told reporters.

Trump Jr. has been a staunch supporter of his father Donald Trump, 77, who is running for the Oval Office in 2024 as the Republican nominee.
