Skittles has introduced a new flavor and it’s not what candy lovers would have expected, CNN informed of.
The candy brand has partnered with French to create its first mustard-flavored Skittles to celebrate National Mustard Day on August 5.
A press release said the yellow candies have a “crispy mustard flavor” and its “iconic chewy texture.”
If you want to try the new candy, you can do so on the Frenchie’s “Mustard Mobile” which is stopping in three US cities, including Atlanta on July 31st, Washington on August 2nd and New York on August 5th.
Apart from this, people can also get a chance to win the package by participating in the online contest.
“Skittles always seeks to inspire moments of everyday joy and provide unexpected ways for fans to experience the brand,” Ro Cheng, director of marketing for Mars, said in a statement.
Skittles, which is owned by Mars, usually offers limited-edition flavors but they are sweet and sour. However, this time he decided to do something different.
The partnership between The French and Skittles is a new addition to celebrating the holidays. The company, owned by McCormick & Company, sold a mustard-flavored donut in New York last year.
In 2019, French also sold mustard-flavored ice cream, which aimed to bring together “two all-American classics, ice cream and mustard”.
