Four soldiers including army officer martyred in KP’s anti-terrorism operation

Pakistan Army Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Hasan Haider and three other soldiers were martyred in an exchange of fire with terrorists during an intelligence-base operation (IBO) in Khyber district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Inter-Services Public Relations said on Monday.

Security forces led by Lieutenant-Colonel Haider conducted IBO in general area of ​​Tirah in Khyber district and killed three terrorists and injured three others.

“During the conduct of the operation, its troops led by Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Hasan Haider effectively attacked the terrorist hideout resulting in the killing of three terrorists while three terrorists were injured,” the Army’s media wing said.

The soldiers killed in the operation were identified as Naik Khushdil Khan, 31, of Lakki Marwat district; Naik Rafiq Khan, 27, from Charsadda district; and Lance Naik Abdul Qadir, 33, from district Murree.

ISPR also said that Pakistan’s security forces are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve.

It said a clean-up operation was being conducted to eliminate any terrorists found in the area.
