Bushra Bibi’s ex-husband says he threw Imran Khan out of the house for meeting his then-wife without consent

During PTI’s protests in Islamabad, Maneka said that the former first lady’s sister Maryam Watto had arranged a meeting between the PTI chief and his now wife.
Maneka said that after the first meeting, the PTI chief and Bushra Bibi started meeting frequently in Islamabad.
“My mother used to say that Imran Khan is not a good person, don’t let him come into the house.”
Revealing details of the relationship between the two, Maneka said that his then wife used to talk to Imran secretly throughout the night on the phone number given to her by Farah Gogi on the request of the PTI chief.
He said that his residence is in Bani Gala area of Islamabad and Bushra Bibi would meet the PTI chief at his house in the same area without his permission.
Six months before the wedding, Maneka said, Bushra Bibi “separated from me” and went to her home in Pakpattan city of Punjab, Maneka said, adding that Bushra Bibi refused to return home despite her insistence.
Maneka said that one day, she received a text message from Farah Gogi, asking her to divorce ‘Pinky’ (Bushra Bibi’s nickname).
“I went to Bushra and asked her do you want a divorce? He bowed his head and did not respond,” he said.
Maneka said that she had sent divorce papers to her then wife through Farah Gogi on November 14, 2017.
Later, she said that Farah Gogi and PTI chief’s close aide Zulfi Bukhari asked her to change the date of divorce on the papers and keep quiet because “Imran Khan wants to be the prime minister”.
