Lahore’s Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Shariq Jamal, was found dead at his residence in the DHA area. geo news Reported on Saturday.
The discovery of his lifeless body prompted an immediate response from the police. They immediately shifted his body to a nearby hospital for examination.
The circumstances surrounding his untimely death have raised concerns, prompting authorities to launch a thorough investigation into the incident.
As per preliminary reports, no family member was present at his residence at the time of his death. It was revealed that he had sent out two of his domestic servants before his death. On his return, the servants found him dead in his bedroom and immediately informed the police.
On receiving the news, police rushed to the spot and took his body to a nearby hospital, where doctors confirmed his demise, which is believed to have happened long before reaching the medical facility.
His body was taken to the mortuary for a postmortem examination with the aim of shedding more light on the circumstances surrounding his death.
The family members of DIG Shariq Jamal present in the second house were informed about this unfortunate incident.
