Students can apply to study undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD programs in Hungarian universities
In a positive development, Pakistan’s Higher Education Commission (HEC) on Monday revealed that Pakistani students can now get the opportunity to study in Europe on scholarship.
Titled “Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Program (2024-25)”, it will enable students from Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir to pursue undergraduate, master, one-tier master and PhD programs in various Hungarian universities.
For bachelor’s and one-level master’s degrees, the minimum requirement is 12 years of education, whereas, for master’s programs, applicants must have completed 16 years of education.
Meanwhile, those with 17-18 years of education will be eligible to apply for a PhD degree.
The scholarship will cover tuition fees and will also provide financial assistance to students regarding accommodation and health.
However, it should be noted that the program will not completely cover the cost of living – but will only contribute to students’ expenses.

Applicants must submit their applications – along with their final degree and transcript – before the August 1, 2024 deadline and can go to HEC. Website for more information.
