
Lahore: A Canada-bound Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight had to return to Pakistan midway due to hydraulic failure during the journey. news informed of.
The flight – PK-797 – was flying over Russia when a technical problem with the plane’s hydraulic system was detected.
The flight originally scheduled to depart Lahore for Toronto on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday was forced to return to the Allama Iqbal International Airport after being called back from Russian airspace.
Flight tracking data showed that the Boeing 777-240 (LR) aircraft took off from Lahore at 4:30 am on Monday and landed at the same airport at 1:30 pm.
According to a PIA spokesperson, due to the delay in repairing the aircraft, the passengers of this flight will be sent to Toronto via an alternate flight.
The spokesperson said that PIA engineers will inspect the aircraft and rectify the fault.
According to the spokesperson, the Boeing 777 aircraft made a normal landing at Lahore airport on return.
