Veteran journalist and ex-wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan, Reham Khan has once again attracted attention, this time with her choice of footwear.
The television personality took to social media to share pictures of her during her tour of Pakistan with husband Mirza Bilal, which has set the internet abuzz about her stylish footwear.
Reham has been posting pictures from her trip to the picturesque green mountains of Hazara district on her official Instagram account.
However, the internet found her footwear most interesting in her latest post, where she is seen wearing Peshawari chappals – which is also known to be her footwear choice for ex-husband Khan.
Dressed in a cool pastel blue outfit, the television anchor accessorized with deep maroon traditional slippers.
In the caption of her post, where she is sitting on a chair, Khan quoted American author Delia Owens’ poem on a sunset.
“Sunsets are never simple; where the crawdads sing.”
In one of the two images, she is sitting deep in thought while in the other she is smiling through the lens.
In another post, Khan stood by a tree with mountains in the background admiring the Pakistani brand she was wearing.
The media personality wrote in her caption, “Proud of our Pakistani fashion, our Pakistani textile industry, which is admired and desired by everyone around the world. Pakistani lawn collections are unique and exquisite.”
But the internet went after the peshawari chappals she wore, leaving many divided and speculating about her ironic outfit choice.
While some praised her slippers, others criticized her style and asked her to copy her ex-husband.
Referring to Reham impersonating the PTI chief, a user wrote, “Khan sahab ki chori kar ke li gaye shoes (She has stolen Khan sahab’s shoes).”
The other said, take off the shoes given by Imran Khan.
An Instagram user mentioned that Rehma is trying hard to get “attention”.
He asked her to “behave”, saying, “You are not even equal to her pashawari chappal. The more you try, the less attention you will attract.”
