Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development (OP&HRD) Jawad Sohrab Malik met Palestinian Ambassador to Islamabad Ahmed Rabi’i and condemned Israeli atrocities against innocent people in Gaza.

According to an official statement issued on Thursday, SAPM Malik strongly condemned the deliberate targeting of civilian infrastructure, medical services, educational institutions and refugee camps by the Israeli occupation forces.

He further said that Gaza is the mother of all concentration camps, given the number of people approximately 2.2 million and living indefinitely, 75 years and counting.

Genocide, ethnic cleansing, crimes against peace and humanitarian law are being carried out by Israel with complete impunity.

He stressed that the international community, especially the Islamic World, must play an active role in ensuring an immediate ceasefire and opening the humanitarian corridor for unhindered relief supplies to the besieged innocent civilians of Gaza.

Addressing the Palestinian Ambassador, SAPM reaffirmed Pakistan’s solidarity at this critical moment of the second Nakba against his country and assured the country’s unequivocal support for the Palestinians’ right to self-determination.

Palestinian Ambassador Ahmed Rabi’i expressed his gratitude for the unwavering solidarity and support shown by the government and people of Pakistan to the people of Palestine.
