After a lengthy search, a teen who went missing eight years ago has been found alive by US authorities in the state of Texas CNN,
American media outlets shared that the Texas Center for the Missing has confirmed that Rudolph “Rudy” Farias IV, who had been missing since March 6, 2015, has been found.
“After 8 long years, Rudy has been found safe,” said a Sunday tweet from the Texas Center for the Missing.
“Please keep his family in your prayers as Rudy continues to recover in the hospital.”
Fariyas’s mother told CNN related KTRK Officers received a call to 911 that Rudy was found unconscious with cuts and bruises outside a church. He believes that his son was badly abused and beaten.
The mother said that Farias is only speaking a few words at a time before going into the fetal position. He believes that he will have a long journey to fully recover from the trauma his son has gone through.
According to US media outlets, Farias, who was 17 in 2015, disappeared while walking outside his home with his two dogs.
At the moment it is not clear where he was for all these years.
According to the US National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, about 360,000 reports of missing children will be submitted to the FBI in 2022 – a figure that may include duplicates.
